Biography: Troy Taylor is one of the most phenomenal writers, voices and producers to hit the gospel circuit! His soulful melodies and sensational harmony mark him as a truly anointed man of God. He has many of the industries most beloved veterans attesting to his skill (Dr. Bobby Jones, Darwin Hobbs, Derrick Lee (musical director for BET's Bobby Jones Gospel....etc) . Born in Queens, New York, Taylor fine tuned his vocal gift while being raised in a small town in Georgia. His talent was not limited to just singing, he also played the drums for his church for 14 years and moved on to the organ and piano while fine tuning the art of writing. In 2000, he became a pivotal member of Divine Connection (now known as J-4 Twenty3), who went on to record their second album in 2001 with Bad Boy Entertainment producer Jeffery “J-Dub” Walker and Augusta, Georgia heavy hitter Claude Deuce of "Livin It Productions". That same year, he was blessed to be a part of the “Sisters in the Spirit Tour” in Augusta, GA by opening for international icons Mary Mary, Shirley Caesar, Yolanda Adams, and Virtue.
In 2004 Taylor lead the hit song “Above All” written by Michael W. Smith, which was later featured on the hottest new compilation albums, “Gotta Have Gospel” , “The Art of Praise” and "The New Sound Of Gopsel" along side other gospel greats like Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary, Ted and Sherry, Shirley Caesar, Alvin Slaughter, Kiki Sheard, J.Moss, Byron Cage, Lisa McClendon, Fred Hammond and many others. Given the opportunity to continue his already promising career, Troy Taylor presented his solo CD, Involved, with a dynamic ability only God can give. After the release of his debut album, Troy was afforded the opportunity to be a guest on a new hit show call "Next Generation" that aired its first season on the Gospel Music Channel. As a result, Troy has now been given the great opportunity to travel the globe with a few of the most unique and anointed voices in the gospel music industry including, Darwin Hobbs and the one and only Dr. Bobby Jones. Now a main stay, lead, vocalist and songwriter for the nationally televised broadcast "Bobby Jones Gospel" airing on BET weekly, for Troy, the sky is the limit.
